Nina Acevedo
Nina Acevedo is a local surfer from Rincón, Puerto Rico. Her family is a well recognized surfer family; her father is a shaper (Monchito). Today we talk with Nina about her active surfing life.
Natty: Hey Nina, you'r pretty young, how long have you been surfing?
Nina: Hi, I have been surfing for the last 6 years.
Natty: What is your stance?
Nina: I surf regular stance.
Natty: Cool! Do you have a favorite surfing spot?
Nina: Yeah, many! I really like Domes, Marias, Antonios, and 7barrazos, all of them at Rincón.
Natty: But have you been out of the island?
Nina: Yeah yeah, I have surfed in Ecuador and Florida, USA.
Natty: and have you competed?
Nina: Of course! I partcipated in the Quiksilver JuniorPro and got 3rd place in the Ripcurl Grom Search, in Volcom, and in the Puerto Rico Surfing Federation.
